Welcome to the first year of the Buenos Aires Summer Internship Program (BASIP).

BASIP offers a unique opportunity for Armenian students from across the globe to enter the professional sphere at one of Latin Americas most cosmopolitan cities.

During its formation, BASIP has developed vast relationships in highly competitive companies, where interns will be exposed to challenging and stimulating environments. Participants will be placed in a wide variety of prestigious host institutions covering a range of sectors including financial, legal, medical, art and many others!

BASIP also provides participants with the opportunity to network with leading professionals and the AGBU Young Professionals (YP) community in Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires is one of the world’s most fascinating and attractive cities and one of the largest financial centers in Latin America. From its rich history, eclectic neighborhoods and dramatic architecture to its seductive arts, cultural and culinary scene. There are vast amount of opportunities to obtain a valuable working experience at the country’s most challenging companies, organizations and to be able to participate in educational and cultural activities.

Taking advantage of the large population of the Armenian Community in Buenos Aires, participants will also have the benefit of enjoying several social and networking events such as AGBU-sponsored mixers throughout the winter.


During their stay in Buenos Aires, participants will be accommodated in Callao Suites in Recoleta. They are located in the heart of Buenos Aires where you will be near famous Landmarks such as el Cementerio de Recoleta, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Florais Generica, Palais De Glace and the Museo de las Bellas Artes. Nearby, there are several parks and open spaces. Furthermore, it is located near several bus stops and subway stations.

Interns will be placed in a 4 star apart hotel, with interns of the same sex. Housecleaning and laundry services are provided, as are all necessary furnishings, including sheets and towels, as well as Internet connection. A full kitchen is also available for interns to use at all times. Security is provided 24 hours a day.


The dorms are located at a walking distance from the Callao Underground station, which allows for easy access to the entire city. Another effective alternative to the underground is the bus system, which is also easily accessible from the dorms.


BASIP offers interns a selection of professional and social activities throughout Argentina. The highlight of the program is a show dinner at the internationally known Señor Tango and getting the chance to witness the magnificent Colon Theatre. Other activities range from a day at the Estancia in San Antonio de Areco.

There will also be many activities revolving around career building. Buenos Aires YP group will lead workshops, discussing how to write an effective resume, how to prepare for an interview and how to become relevant in the job market through a social media presence. In addition, networking evenings will be arranged in order to help establish long-lasting relationships for students and the YP community.
